 Continuiamo a completare l'esercito spagnolo.

Oggi vi presento un'unità di archibugieri, composta quasi interamente da pezzi Atlantic Wargame e da un paio di TAG, e 4 figure di Jinetes fatti con cavalli e corpi Perry e teste e scudi presi dagli sprue degli Atlantic.

 

We continue to complete the Spanish army.

Today I present to you a unit of arquebusiers, composed almost entirely of Atlantic Wargame pieces and a couple of TAGs, and 4 Jinetes figures made with horses and Perry bodies and heads and shields taken from the Atlantic sprues.

Le colunellas del 2022

 Come promesso ecco le Colunellas spagnole completate con i pezzi dell'Atlantic Wargame che vi avevo presentato nello scorso post. 

Alla fine ho deciso di comporle ciascuna con 2 basi di picchieri, 2 di archibugieri, 1 di comando ed 1 di Sword & Buckler, cercando di rispettare le proporzioni originali. Poi, il fatto di averle imbasettate in questa maniera, consente di fare qualunque permutazione si voglia, in funzione del regolamento di gioco scelto.

Quasi tutti i comandi  e tutti i sword & buckler sono in metallo di varie case produttrici, come TAG, Foundry e altre ma la compatibilità sembra abbastanza buona.

As promised here are the Spanish Colunellas completed with the pieces of the Atlantic Wargame that I presented to you in the last post.  

In the end, I decided to compose each of them with 2 pikemen bases, 2 arquebusiers, 1 command and 1 Sword & Buckler, trying to respect the original proportions. Then, the fact of having based them in this way, allows you to make any permutation you want, depending on the game rules chosen.  

Almost all the controls and all the sword & bucklers are made of metal from various manufacturers, such as TAG, Foundry and others but the compatibility seems to be pretty good.

Per finire, vi lascio qualche immagine degli archibugieri e di un comando dell'Atlantic durante la pittura: enjoy!

I figli del CoViD - The sons of CoVid

Chiuso a casa, trovo il tempo per  continuare a dipingere miniature per i progetti che ho in corso. Quindi passo dalla Guerra Civile inglese, all'Indian Mutiny, al Napoleonico.
Ma resta ovviamente di grande interesse il periodo delle Guerre d'Italia. Oltre ad aver finito il magnifico libro di Mallet sull'argomento, ho rimesso mano ai pezzi della Perry in plastica.
Devo dire che la cosa più affascinante di questi pezzi è la possibilità di ottenere centinaia di figure una diversa dall'altra permutando all'infinito braccia, armi, teste...

Così, stavolta ho tirato fuori due unità di milizie italiane, armate di armi bianche varie (lance, alabarde, spade, falcioni...).

Per i colori, stavolta mi sono lasciato andare un pò alla fantasia...

Oltre a queste unità, come avevo preannunciato nel mio post precedente, ho realizzato un'unità di archibugieri a cavallo, ispirato alle Bande nre di GIovanni de'Medici.

Anche qui, grande scambio di pezzi dagli sprue della Perry. per la bandiera, ho pensato allo stemma araldico della famiglia Medici, con una banda nera lungo il bordo superiore. Non so se sia corretta ma non sono riuscito a trovare niente di meglio. Se qualcuno ha informazioni più precise me le faccia avere, ve ne sarò grato...

Closed at home, I find time to continue painting miniatures for the projects I have in progress. So I move from the English Civil War, to Indian Mutiny, to the Napoleonic.

But obviously the period of the Italian Wars remains of great interest. In addition to having finished Mallet's magnificent book on the subject, I put my hand back to Perry's plastic pieces.

I must say that the most fascinating thing about these pieces is the possibility of obtaining hundreds of figures, one different from the other, endlessly permuting arms, weapons, heads ...

So, this time I pulled out two units of Italian militias, armed with various white weapons (spears, halberds, swords, falcioni ...).

For the colors, this time I let myself go a little to the fantasy ...

In addition to these units, as I had announced in my previous post, I made a unit of mounted arquebusiers, inspired by the bands of Giovanni de'Medici.

Here too, great exchange of pieces from the Perry sprue. For the flag, I thought of the heraldic coat of arms of the Medici family, with a black band along the upper edge. I don't know if it's correct but I couldn't find anything better. If anyone has more precise information, let me have it, I will be grateful to you ...
